Kentner Farms Colorado Artisanal Honey and Beekeeping Suppliesbee_logo1.jpg

Matt Kentner pictured here on the Brown Palace, where he keeps three hives of Honeybees, is a true renaissance man: Former computer technician and system administrator, pastry chef, baker and self confessed snowboard and ski junkie. He has degrees in computer information systems and cooking. Matt started beekeeping an a whim in 2003 after hearing an article on public radio about almond pollination and the decline of honey bees and beekeepers in North America.
Kentner Farms was established in 2007 to produce pure raw Colorado honey as well as provide pollination, honey extraction, honeybee removal and personal beekeeping services. We love pure food and believe that it is time for a fundamental change in the way food is produced, processed, transported and consumed in the good old USA. In 2010 we expanded to over 75 colonies of honeybees and look forward to expanding to 150 or more in 2011.
When not taking care of the bees Matt keeps busy with 2 great daughters as well as his wife of more than 20 years. They enjoy many of the activities Colorado has to offer primarily camping, fishing, skiing, gardening and of course Cooking Matt is a member of Denver Bee and the Northern Colorado Beekeepers Association.
Thank you for supporting high quality natural and organic local food producers!
